These are the props that I will be using throughout my
magazine. Guitars will feature on all of my pages as everyone on these pages
will be carrying a guitar. Next, I will be including pictures on my double page
spread of Robert Brown holding a microphone when he used to sing. Drum sticks
will feature on my contents page and my double page spread. Finally, the
amplifier will be on the double page spread and will feature in pictures with
Robert Brown.

Contents page photos
These are some shots that I have taken for my contents page. These are the two poses that my characters will be doing. The background will be removed so it will just be them. They are also just going to be the black and white ones with the red showing. One of my characters will be holding the guitar then behind them will be the other one holding the drum sticks. They will also be wearing suits and the two people who will feature on this page will be the Jack and James.
This is the poses that my characters will be doing. One person will be standing in front of the other person. They will both be wearing suits with only the colour red showing.

Characters for contents page
My character for my double page spread is called Jack Cross.
He was a childhood friend of Robert Brown and played the guitar in his band. He
is s year older then Robert Brown and in the 90’s he went off and started to
play as a solo performance. He had an album come out in the late 90’s and ever
since then he played alone. He is still very good friends with Robert and often
meets up with him. he no longer plays music now but last year him Robert and James all did a reunion. He remains to live in London as he believes that its the best place to live. Many of his fans live there too and he is often stopped in the streets. He loves to continue playing the guitar as a hobby in his house. He will feature in some of Roberts stories on his double page spread.
Camera angles
This is the
camera angle that I am going to have for my contents page. You can’t see his
whole body, but you will be able to see the top half of his body, and the
guitar he will be holding. However, in my real magazine, any red will be in
colour, and any other colour will be in black and white. So this will be the amount of body you will see. I will do some actual photos of someone in a suit hold the props.
Codes and conventions
Codes and conventions are the familiar and predictable techniques used in media to communicate certain ideas to a desired impression. These are some terms that I will need to take into consideration when designing my magazine, and parts of the magazine that I will be using.

What will be on my contents page
After looking at other contents pages I am going to include around 8 or 9 different sub headings and a few bullet points underneath it talking about what will appear on the page. This will involve something like 'What next' and then a sentence saying 'Find out what your favourite 80's bands are up to now'. Then I will do more like this. This gives the reader a little glimpse into what will feature on the page. It will also give the reader a page number and a sentence for my double page spread on Robert Brown.
Contents page layout idea
I have drawn out a possible idea for what my contents page could look like. I plan to take some photos of what my characters are going to be holding and dresses up as.

Photoshoot ideas
Poses
For my front cover, I have decided that my character will be jumping in the air whilst holding a guitar. He will be wearing 80s style clothing and will be looking straight forward. This relates to Maslow as this gives a sense of belonging to the person who is looking at it.

For my contents page, there will be a picture of another band member holding drum sticks with is arms folded. He will be in an 80s style suit. He will also be looking directly at the viewer.
For the main image for my double page spread, I am going to have two main images. One being an old version of my character and another being the today version of him. They will be back to back in the middle of the page. They will both be holding a guitar, but it will be the same version of the guitar to show that he has kept his first guitar and still uses it.
Contents page
After looking at all the contents pages I have analysed, I can pick out aspects of them of which I could use. For example, I plan to keep all the writing on the left hand side of the page. This is to keep everything organized and easy to read and find what you need. I will have the page numbers in a slightly bigger font to the rest of the writing to make it east to find the page that you need. I will also have the numbers a different colour to the rest of the writing so it stands out. I will carry on with the British theme inside using the colours red, white and blue for the text. Looking at other content pages, I will keep the background simple so it doesn't take away attention from the writing. I will also have an image of someone in a band on the right side of the page. Another thing I could do is either have the picture in colour or in black and white. This will draw attention to it, but wont detract from the main purpose of the page, which is the writing. I will also have the date on the page. The subheading will be a bigger size to the short bit of writing underneath it and in a different colour as well.

Background
For my front cover I have decided what I am going to have as my background. I am going to have a stage. I have chosen this as I want it to make it look like the photo has been taken live at a concert.

Front cover practice shots
Final font choice
I have asked 30 people, who is in my target audience, what font they think I should use, and what final name I should use. Of that 30, 12 people voted for the name 'Jukebox' and this font:
This is the font that I will be using for the title on the front of my front cover. When I asked people why they chose this, they said its clear that is magazine is going to be on old music as this is an old piece of equipment. They also said that it fits with the genre as this is how music would have been played.
